Message The RB26 is an inline 6, and I6's are very heavy since they have big blocks. While a V6 as a short, compact block 3 cylinders long with big heads on the sides, an I6 has a large block 6 cylinders long with 1 long head on top.

Besides the total weight, since the I6 is longer than a V6 or an I4 it will mess with the weight distribution of the car. A larger percentage of the engine weight will be sticking out towards the front of the car.

If you want a cool, unique engine to make the 240 fast, go with the RB26. If you want cheap power without the weight, go with a Vg30et from an old 300zx. If you want the engine that's the lightest go with the SR20DET.
